             Science fiction takes an idea or moral issue and exaggerates it, then explores the implications of it. The story has "Harrison Bergeron" there are many different examples of this. In the short story "True Love" there are also many examples. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. wrote "Harrison Bergeron." The sort story "True Love" was written by Isaac Asimov. The similarity between them is persistent in two aspects: The first is science fiction and the second moral issues and exaggeration.
             In the short story "Harrison Bergeron," Vonnegut starts the story off by saying: "The year was 2081, and everybody was everybody was finally equal" (558). This is the moral issue. He goes on to exaggerate it by saying: "They weren't equal only before god and the law, they were equal every which way"(558). He continues on by saying: "Nobody was smarter than anybody else; nobody was better looking that anybody else; nobody was stronger or quicker than anyone else"(558). The emphasis on total equality is a bittersweet moral issue. As the story demonstrates equality comes at a price and total equality comes at a bigger price. This is like all science fiction stories it takes a moral issue to an exaggerated level.
             In the story "True Love," written by Isaac Asimov, a computer, Joe, and his programmer, Milton, search for Milton's true love. Milton must program the computer to find is love and in order to do that he has to program the computer with similar interests likes, dislikes and, so on in order for the computer to find a suitable match. This unforeseen disadvantage to Milton is that since the computer is now like him, he also likes the same type of women as him. It turns out that the computer takes the women that Milton likes and takes her as his own.
