Why is that when women suffer form premenstrual syndrome, also known as PMS, they always have to take it out on the ones that love them? I truly believe that my mother has the worst case of PMS in the world. She is probably one of the sweetest ladies on this planet, but if you catch her at that time when the volcano is about to erupt, then you would not want to be around her. This really bothers me because I cannot understand how such a sweet lady can flip to be so irritable. For example, I didn't go to school one day last semester for the reason of just being tired for class. When my mother came home from work later that day, I told her that I didn't go to class. I could tell by the look on her face that this was not the week to skip class. Then, she flipped saying that I was a failure, that I was lazy, and she even attempted to kick me out of the house. I tried not to talk back because I knew if I did then she would have flipped my words around to make them sound differently then I intended for them to mean. So I just took the verbal abuse and went to my room to leave her alone for the rest of the night. The next morning, I wake up in shock to see that there is breakfast on the table. My mother
A third way of preventing PMS is through exercise. In addition, a study shoed that women who drink one cup of coffee per day increased their risk of developing PMS by 30 percent and the risk skyrocketed to 700 percent in women who drank eight to ten cup per day (2). So I suggest to the women to double check with themselves if they really need more than one cup of coffee in the morning. The mother has to be a role model, for example, the mothers should exercise, and tell their daughters the reason for exercising is that it helps her to deal with her PMS. She also says the definition for PMS is that it is a term used to describe the physical and emotional symptoms that many women experience before a menstrual period (1). Several things can be done to prevent PMS, and these preventions are: eating the right foods, young women knowing good lifestyle habits during puberty, exercising, and taking herbal capsules. ------------------------------------------------------------------------**Bibliography**Breyer, Carol.
