The story takes place during winter in a village called Sherpia.  It is at the edge of the Arctic Circle.  The main characters are Jaclyn who lives with her Aunt Greta in Sherpia.  She believed the snowman was her dad and she set him free.  Eli lived on the mountain and snuck past Conrad to go to the snowcave.  Elic helped Jaclyn build a snowman to protect Jaclyn's house.
                 Three things that happened in the story were:  1)  Jaclyn and her Aunt Greta moved to Sherpia at the edge of the Arctic Circle, 2)  Jaclyn noticed that everyone had a snowman in their yard and they all looked the same,  3)  Jaclyn accidentally released the monster from the snowman.
                 The book ends when Conrad sent all the snowman up the mountain to save Jaclyn and Aunt Greta.  The snowman went up and froze the monster.  At the end Jaclyn found out that Conrad was her dad.
                 I enjoyed the book.  I liked it because it was scary. I liked it because it took place in the Arctic Circle and because there was magic in the story.  I wanted to find out what was going to happen at the end and that is why I like Goosebump books.
