The 3 topics I chose as having the greatest historical significance during the high middles ages, were chosen for their implication's they had on their present time and the future. The first of these was the rise in Christianity, although this wasn't a topic on the paper I strongly feel that this was one if not thee greatest of all outcomes of the high middle ages. Christianity played a major role throughout the Middle Ages in society and politics. The Middle Ages, classified from 600 AD to 1350 AD, was significantly effected by Christianity because of the impact it had on the daily lives of people of the time. Christianity was consistently present in the social arena of the Middle Ages. Violence was considered a necessary evil, but nevertheless still evil. The Black Death serves as a major turning point in the history of European civilization in the 1340's, approximately one third to one half the population of Europe was wiped out.
