I remember it like it was yesterday...It was 3:00 AM and I haven't slept the whole night. I was working on a paper that was due the next day. I finally finished and was so happy that I just proceeded to print it instead of saving the paper. All was going well, it was a five page paper and the printer was on the fourth page "woo hoo". I sometimes wonder how a program can perform an illegal operation. So what does it mean? I do not know and I don't care as long as it doesn't happen to me anymore. What does it mean? How can a non living thing make illegal operations. Sometimes I just sit and leave it up on my screen to see if the FBI will bust in the door with guns saying "YOUR UNDER ARREST YOU HAVE PERFORMED AN ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WE ARE SHUTTING YOU DOWN" I have this picture in my head of an FBI agent holding a machine gun on my monitor like they did to Elian Gonzales. he phrase "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" My heart became heavy, eyes watery, 2 hours of work down the toilet! I almost started to go ballistic on the computer. Was MSN Explorer dealing drugs to Outlook Express??? Maybe Metallica finally caught up with Napster. Thoughts of illegal things went through my mind, like killing a computer. Although it should not be illegal because its not a living thing It was a good thing that it printed almost all of it but the last page so it did not take me long to do it again.
