report on book
Jefferson: This is the main character in this book. He is a black man and is a good guy. He gets falsely sentenced to death by electric chair. He's just the kind of person that's in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mr. Wiggins: He is a black teacher. This guy is the one telling the story and is one of the main characters in this book. Miss Emma: She is Jefferson's aunt's sister, she is a big support toward Jefferson and always visits him. Vivian: This is Mr. Wiggins girlfriend and she just basically gives him a lot of support, she also gives him a lot of advice. Reverend Ambrose: This guy is like a preacher he is always criticizing Mr. Wiggins because he isn't really religious. He wants Jefferson to accept god into his life. Nannan: She always cooks for Jefferson. She is the biggest leader in the group that is supporting Jefferson. She really cares a lot and she is very supportive. This book is about a black man that becomes a victim of racism. It starts out with a black man named Jefferson and he is walking down the street. Two
He gets in, and right away they ask him if he ahs any cash on him. 4 I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn a few things about life. The two men were drunk so when they went to the store they asked the clerk if they could get a bottle, he asked them if they had the money to pay for it, (being drunk) they didn't have enough. He got sentenced to the electric chair be!cause they thought that he had killed everybody. At first Jefferson doesn't even talk to him but as time goes on they built a better relationship. He starts to eat with his family because they get to visit him every once and a while. " This plays a big part of this book because they are trying to get Jefferson to Believe in him. Then the clerk started to shoot them but the other guy had a gun so everybody died except for Jefferson. His aunt tells this teacher to help him believe he is a man. There are a lot of lessons that are taught in this book. " I feel this is important because a lot of us take little things like this and don't Appreciate it until it is taken away4.
