Character sketch on wuthering heights
The character I am doing my sketch on is Heathcliff from the movie Wuthering Heights. Through Heathcliff's entire life he encounters many trouble some events that affect him as a person and gave him a deep dark soul. Which he could not change during the movie. From the beginning of the movie and most likely from the beginning of his life he has suffered from pain and rejection. When he was brought to Wuthering Heights by Mr. Earnshaw he was viewed as a thing rather than a child.
Then he seeks revenge on Edgar Linton because he feels Edgar stole Catherine from him. That was how the story ended and the existence of Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. The treatment from Hindley disrupts his mental balance making him turn into a deranged man. He encouraged Hindley to his excessive drinking which lead to his death. In the next few years he is deprived of love, friendship, and education. The thing that puts him over the edge is when Catherine marries Edgar. Heathcliff then disappears for three years and came back a gentleman. Earnshaw was ready to fling him out the door when he first arrived. When he returned to Wuthering Heights he found himself wanting to seek revenge on those who abused him when he was a kid. He commits suicide which was the only thing holding him back from seeing her since she died. Earnshaw Heathcliff suffers cruel treatment from Hindley. He is separated from the family and considered a servant.
