According to Voltaire, "The great vice of democracy is certainly not tyranny and cruelty..." (Voltaire, ?, 96, Doc. (Robinson, 1935, I 191-92, Doc. B); this is contradictory in accordance to Rousseau, "Man is born free; and everywhere he is in chains" (Cole, 1946, 3, 12-16, Doc. C). The modern world can only learn of this history, and all of the aspects of the French Revolution have affected it more than any can imagine. V), this event resulted in the fall of the Bastille, according to Pernoud and Flaissier, "The Surrender of the Bastille,' was the answer, on which he let us in" (Graves, 1961, 31-37, Doc. The opposition contradicts every word of Robbespierre in hopes of a change. S); this is similar according to the Cahier of Carcasssone, "The meetings of the Estates General of the kingdom should be fixed for definite periods. This Assembly was formed to meet the people's wishes, and the Bastille showed the King the people wanted justice. The history of the French Revolution affected the modern world through the actions and results.
