In the camps they were treated very poorly. In Night, the story takes place in Germany during World War 2. Some of the treatment they received were, they were starved, badly beaten, tortured in ways like hard physical labor, and even being murdered. Hitler basically forced the Germans into beating, killing and other brutal behavior on the people he believed were not special. According to Hitler, they weren't special, and were worthless. It is at camp Auschwitz, a place where the "inferior" people were sent. He believe they were very dirty people. He manipulated the Germans into believing that they were special. They were starved, forced to do hard labor, and treated like they weren't even human. They were stripped of everything that made them who they were, including there religion, which allot of Jews turned there backs on thanks to the treatment they received. Hitler believed all of Germanys problems were from the Jews.
