There are certain things that need to be done to improve our schools.III. Bush's plan increases accountability in our schools.A. Students and schools will be motivated to work hard for their goals.B. The will be punishment for consistently failing schools.C. Vouchers will be offered to parents with children in failing schools.IV. State and local governments will be given greater flexibility.A. Local government can spend the federal grant monies on the things they believe will do them the most good.B. Federal government will consolidate the existing grants.C. States and local governments will be given increased flexibility in starting charter schools.V. Bush's plan will expand parental educational options.
Class size will shrink, education programs will be streamlined, more highly trained teachers will be obtained, and successful teacher education programs will be instituted in the name of competition.
