Law and justice

What is the difference between Law and Justice? In my opinion there is a very distinct difference between justice and the law. I believe that they have a few similarities, but different parts to play in the legal system. Justice is like the ulimate goal that civilization has been aiming towards since the beginning of societies . The law is the tool we use, and have been using for hundreds of years, as our method to find justice. Through the evolution of the law, from Hammurabi and the Babylonian law to the present day law, our grasp on justice has changed. But have we really gotten closer to that ultimate "justice"? Or is it something that will always be just a little bit beyond our reach? Although there are some very obvious differences between law and justice, there are some similarities. They are both part of society, they encourage a certain morality in p

The Greek philosopher, Plato, believed that law should provide inner harmony and justice in the state, and that law and justice could be used as moral educators. General justice is just there, it is one of the universal truths that holds us together. They used the law as their tool, their means of reaching absolute justice and harmony. In most countries laws are now there to protect people instead of incriminate. The main difference between law and justice, is all in the process. Law is the process and Justice is the goal. eople and they both are there to bring some balance to a community. For hundreds of years civilizations have been trying to reach this balanced thing that is "justice. The first laws that were acctually put down into writing were in the Babylonion era, by King Hammurabi. His laws were OK but they weren't balenced, there wasn't a sense of fairness in them. I think that he cannot have been more right. So, will society ever come to absolute justice, will we ever reach it? That is a question that may never be answered, because human kind is always changing and evolving, it doesn't stop; and neither will our search for absolute justice. Since that time the law, like human kind, has evolved. There was no account for intention, and the main motto was guilty until proven innocent. Law and Justice are definatly different.
