George Orwell
George Orwell was born on July 12, 1941 in Liverpoole England. His childhood was rather normal, but he generally kept himselfawya from others. This is an aspect of his life that he has keptall throughout his life. After raduating from highschool, heattended Oxford where he majored in World Literature and EasternPolitics. He remained rather active during this time period,attending rallies, becoming parts of movements. At this point,Orwell had not written any literature peices, but many of hispieces revolve around his experiences during his twenties and
Soon after, around 1974, Orwell began to write increasingly moreand more political parodies attacking more and more. These storieswere political satires downplaying the British Parliament andvarious other governments, (particularly the United States). This soonbecame the influence on his writings. Somereaders who have known Orwell believed that the main character,Winston, was created by Orwell to portay the kind of person hebelieved he was. Orwell, however, simply saidthat his piece was for the simple minded, and not to be overevaluated. Orwell continues to be a hugesuccess in the literary world. Soon after Animal Farm was published, Janice Stevens,a fellow activist with Orwell and long time compagnon, married in1980.
