Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. He was James and Deloris Jordan's fourth child. His siblings were James Ronald, Deloris, and Larry. When he was young Michael's family moved to North Carolina. There they built a small house and their father built a basketball court in the backyard called "The Rack". It was built on grass but that was quickly worn down from how much they played. Michael went to D.C. Virgo Middle School and played quarterback on the middle school football team, guard on the basketball
He tried out for the Varsity basketball team as guard but didn't make it! He was put on the JV team. In 1993 his father died and Michael left basketball. Michael turned down the Olympic Basketball team to go pro one year before he finished college. Then he played baseball for the 1994-1995 season, but went back to basketball after that. He was the starting guard almost every single game of his Tar Heels career.
