War Dogs, America's forgotten heroes

Canines have served man since they were first domesticated during pre-historic times, where they joined man's hunting parties and stood watch over his camps at night. As history progressed, the bond between man and the dog strengthened, eventually they began to accompany man on to the field of battle. They had regular meals and spend much of the day sleeping in the shade. Some dogs could be "un-trained" w!hile others could not. I wonder if he thinks about me as often as I have thought of him. It feels just like the tranquilizer shot that we got before we left on the plane ride over here back in July of '66.
