Yosemite National Park provides a vast variety of activities for visitors of all interests. Its leaping waterfalls, towering cliffs, and rounded domes make it a preeminent natural marvel. The first inhabitants of the valley were Native American Miwok people. It was not until the mid 1850s that people began to appreciated Yosemite’s magnificence. During my stay, I was captivated by Yosemite’s history. According to the tourist’s guide, the Yosemite valley was formed millions of years ago when the crust of the earth rose up; and during the final receding years of the Ice Age, glaciers melted, and left a dam of broken rock that led to the formation of lakes. I did not get a chance to ski, because I was there during the summer. Wildlife from monarch butterflies to mule deer and black bears flourishes in these communities. Therefore scenic viewing is probably the best thing there. Here, tourists can go for a hike, biking, horse back riding, or mountain climbing during the summer. with wildflowers and flowering shrubs, oak woodlands, and mixed conifer forests of ponderosa pine, incense-cedar. Many people have come to Yosemite and left refreshed and relaxed and perhaps a bit more knowledgeable about what they want out of life. From that day on Yosemite has attracted millions of tourists.
