To start off with this job, people need to know the education that would be necessary. “The minimum requirement in degrees for most every position as a school social worker is the bachelor’s degree”(Elberts-129). If people really wanting to get far in this job than the master’s degree is most accepted because the bachelor’s degree only prepares students for employment, also a social worker with a bachelor’s degree will receive less pay than one with a master’s degree(U.S.16). However, the certification for this job is to get the certified licenses needed. School social workers main concern is the students in school, and making sure staying on task, and not misbehaving is occurring. People wanting to be a social worker have to understand, that no problem is to big or to small because all different problems or crisis are just thrown at the certain social worker, and they’re just expected that the worker is to be able to help. School social workers are needed right now, but do intend to grow in this field. If a worker is really interested for a higher position, they could administrators, assistant directors or executive directors of an agency or department.
