Neolithic Revolution

             1. What is meant by the Neolithic revolution? Discuss three ways in which it changed human life.
             During the Paleolithic Era or the Old Stone Age, Homo sapiens roamed the earth like nomads and their primary source of sustenance was hunting and gathering. Shortly, thereafter, the means of survival had developed into a time period we call today the Neolithic revolution, or the New Stone Age, which is the foundation of how society began to operate. Animals such as dogs, sheep, goat and cattle were domesticated and herded. Then people discovered that there were plants that could be cultivated so that they could be eaten, such as wild barley, einkorn (one-corn), olives, grapes, etc... Therefore, agriculture became more popular and eventually became the primary resource of nutrition for people. Furthermore, the Neolithic revolution changed human life and affected the structure of society.
             During the Neolithic Era, status was measured by the amount of flock, land, herd and managerial skills on attained. For this reason, certain individuals were more affluent then others. And in order to keep their status they found it essential to take advantage of the workers and their status they found it essential to take advantage of the workers and their poorer neighbors. Moreover, the Neolithic revolution created a society of classes.
             The status of the Neolithic women was also affected by the Neolithic revolution. Because of the importance of herds and landed property, females were also considered as property and their sexuality had to be kept in check. A woman had to be seen as clean and pure, devoted to a man providing him with children. We can see this as a concept of marriage.
             Lastly, the birth of warfare was the result of the Neolithic revolution. Generally speaking, developed communities with homes, irrigated land, and farm animals had to defend themselves against neighbors that tried to acquire more territory. In addition,...
