The ideas expressed by Hobbes were different than many other thoughts. His idea about a king is fairly realistic. I agree with Hobbes’ ideas about people being greedy, and wanting to advance themselves before anyone else. But some of the abilities of a monocracy are that most decisions will be achieved quickly. To tell you the truth Hobbes came up with the phrase "voice of the people. Being that we live in a country that is ruled by a democracy then you have such a strong fear about monarchies. Hobbes believed in the rule of a king, because a country needs direction and leadership. To show this point he has a quote which is, "If men are naturally in a state of war, why do they always carry arms and why do they have keys to unlock their doors?" The government was created to protect people from their own selfishness and evil.
