             If a female friend or family member were raped and got pregnant should she have the option of having an abortion? Many people disagree whether abortions should be legal. There are many reasons why women choose to have an abortion. Two main reasons why abortions should always stay legal: in cases of rape or incest, and medical reasons. These reasons should not be needed for women to be able to have an abortion. Many people who are pro-life want abortions to be outlawed no matter what the reason may be. This should never be considered, because there are many cases that having an abortion are the only humane or logical thing to do. Abortions should be left as a last resort not an irresponsible quick fix.
             The reason why most abortions take place is because most women become pregnant with out planning the pregnancy; in other words the pregnancy was an accident. These women are usually unwed and are not ready to have a child. Some of these types of unplanned pregnancies happen to teenage girls. These girls are too young to take care of themselves not to mention an infant. Often these unwed single women feel that having an abortion is the only way out of ruining there lives. Sometimes this is true; many young girls today ruin their lives by becoming pregnant at such a young age. It is also unfair for any child to have to suffer the consequences of being born in an unstable environment with out a father. It is hard enough for married parents to raise a child and it would be wrong to make a single women have a child if she felt that she was not ready to raise a child by herself. There should be no reason why a woman should be forced to go through a pregnancy if she finds it not in her best interest and more importantly the unborn embryo's interest to go through the pregnancy.
