Movie Analysis: Primal Fear

             A. The area of law discussed in this movie was homicide, and was viewed from the defense teams perspective.
             1. Martin Vail- A high paid private defense attorney who takes on the case pro-bono after he sees the story unfold on T.V. As the he plays the main character in this movie he is the only person that believes in his clients innocence.
             2. Aaron Stampler (a.k.a Roy)- A 19 year old alter boy that is chased by police after the murder. He is found covered in the Cardinals blood, but claims that he had nothing to do with crime. It is discovered he has multiple personalities, but in the end it turns out to be all a ruse.
             3. Cardinal- Was the victim of the heinous murder where his body is grossly mutilated. It comes out that he has the alter boys and a young lady performing sexual acts on film for his own pleasure. He is also the man that torpedoes a business deal for the chief prosecutor and makes him lose millions.
             C. The movies shortly begins with the brutal death of the cardinal, and then shortly after the police arrest alter boy Aaron Stampler on charges of murder. This is when Martin Veil comes to the rescue and takes on the case pro-bono. As the case roles forward it is discovered that Aaron suffers from multiple personalities, but the defense can not change their plea to insanity half way through the trial. So Mr. Veil looks to find another way to get his client off. Then it is discovered that the cardinal was forcing Aaron and two other people to perform for his porno tapes. You begin to feel sorry for this boy, and really start to believe that he wasn't the killer until he changes into his split personality, Roy, and admits to the entire crime. Now Veil is faced with the problem of getting his client off, but he cannot change his plea of not guilty half way through the trial. Then he finally gets Aaron to revert back into Roy dur
