In the furturistic story Brave New World society as know it is gone; It has become a society that isgoverned by drugs (soma) and by technology. In this utopian society there is no pain, fear, war, hate, orlove, instead there is only the happiness. In doing so the civilized people have giving up all human emotion. They are just like robots, they have no real feelings. Soma is the drug that the whole civilized World takes,they take the drug to avoid problems and emotion. Technology also plays a part in the story. It conditionspeople to be happy and to do one thing in life (be a slave). There are Deltas, Betas, Gammas, Alphas, eachone is programmed to do a certain job. In this society People are not born anymore but instead they are madein test tubes. In this new world is it really a utopia or a prison.
He tells them that hewants to feel pain and to be sad and have emotion and life and not to be a robot. Life iseasy for people in Brave New World, they do not fight with each other over friends women because everyonebelongs to everyone, so if want to have sex with some one you just go and have sex with them. But Monds Tells Him that John is an unstable factor in the new world and wants to see have happenswhen he is introduced into the world. John dies tring to tell people what life really is when they find him that theboarder and he jumps off the edge cliff. While John is in the new world he askes questions and does things that the people have neverdone and it frightens Bernards boss and he tries to tell Monds that John is a Bad presence and should be sentback. The New world is dependant on the drug soma and does notfuction wtih out the drug. John is the man from the "savage world" and is brought to the new world to have some studies doneby Berard. John just wants people to know what they are missing and tries as hard as he can to tellpeople what life really is (when he goes to Lenina class and talks about Romeo and Juliet), but people are notready for all of thoses things. John causes a few problems like when he gets mad at the workersstanding in line waiting for their ration of soma, he goes up to the line and throws it all on the ground andmakes a big mess. this utopian world there are not more problems of the past instead it is perfect to the people. When a trip to the Savage reservasion goes bad two of the main Characters Bernard and Lenina meet John Savage and his mom. Lenina and Bernard finally understand what John was tring to tellthem at the start and Leave the New world to have their baby and live together happy and free from soma. John is in the new world for a little while and realizes that it is not a perfect world andtells Lenina and Bernard that, and tries to tell the rest the world but is not successful. John and his mom go back to the new world withBernard and Lenina.
