That family wouldn’t be hated so much if they hadn’t have killed my father. An innocent man he was, fighting for his freedom, the pain that comes to mind when I think of the topic is unbearable. Why don’t the girls like me? I’m big and tough. At stages we see Tybalt having the ability to question his personality which depicts his self-insecurity. To be a real man in this world you have to show honour. I can see the headlines around the papers now - “Tybalt kills Montague”.
From this interior monologue we come to see why Tybalt shows so much anger towards Montagues. What do those girl see in that wimp Romeo? If this is going to be the end of the fighting, what am I going to do? What else do I have in my life? What am I thinking, “ I hate Romeo, I hate Mercutio, and I hate all Montague’s. I will fight for the respect that I show towards my father. Allowing dirty Montague’s into our house shows not honour, but dishonor. To have your father taken away from you is unbearable and we see that he really lacked a male role model in his upbringing. How could Capulet let not only intruders, but Montague’s into our household? How dare he dishonor the Capulet name? Is the great Capulet going to listen to the Prince? Is he going to end the Great War? The feud will go on between us and I’m going to make sure it does.
This has been the worst night of my life, being in the presence of such trash.
