Christmas always comes as a very special time for our family. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ three times; once with each set of grandparents and once with just our family. Tradition plays a huge role in the way we celebrate each year. Never changing a thing Christmas comes and goes the same way every year. Except for the one event that takes place at my mother's parent's house, that is never quite the same.
             Every Christmas morning my family wakes up, just after partying the night before at my grandma and grandpa VonFeldt's house, to the cries of "Santa was here, Santa was here!" from my little brother. That tradition might change, however, he is getting older. The presents are unwrapped, breakfast is eaten, and showers are taken, to prepare for the even bigger celebration to come. It never fails that we always make it to the Rankin's house last, due to my mother's obsession of making sure everything is cleaned up before we head out the door. Upon our arrival, when it finally comes, the procedure follows the same path as did our little celebration earlier, we open presents, drink punch, and eat lunch. Perhaps the Christmas spirit has come to an end until next year, but the grandkids know better. The stockings still sit, stuffed to the very top, leaning against the closet.
