The tragic events that occurred on Tuesday, September 11th will never beforgotten. I believe that Terrorism has forever changed society, and people will beliving in fear that events like these could take place again. Several hundred liveswere taken in a matter in minutes, in a gruesome ending of their lives. When I first heard of the acts of terrorism from Fr. Judge on Tuesday, Ithought that everything would be ok, it didn't sound that bad. When I got out ofclass five minutes later, I watched the news on television. Minutes later things gotworse. The second plane hit the building live on television. It was then in my mindthat I realized that everything was not all ri
Events across the Country were put onhold with out even questioning whether or not to do it. I could not believe that these events actually happened, and there wasnothing that could have been done on our parts to prevent them. The country washorrified by these events, and continues to fear that tragic events like these, couldhappen again. The impact left on the country, has many peoples thoughts on war, as amust, against whomever did this to us. The only good that has come out of this is, how a country as large as ourscan unite together to help out the disaster. We will recover after ashort while, but will not forget about it, ever. As it turns out, Terrorists have been a threat to our country foryears. It has gone mostly unknown by the public, with rare occurrences over thelast few years. I personally find it hard to believe that with all the espionage wehave in foreign countries, that we did not find out about these events before hand,and that something with this much planning went unnoticed by all. I believethat we have to watch out, that what we do now, does not spark a 'Powder Keg'effect, and start something like World War III. Soon after, a plane hit thePentagon, and one crashed in Pennsylvania. I believe that whoever did this to us,deserves to be punished harshly, but not necessarily war. Days later, as the country is still in shock, thenation has a day of mourning together, holding prayer vigil's through the nation.
