Traditionally the computer and the Internet are used as an information tool, although it is beginning to be used for unlawful activities, such as a way to distribute child pornography, as a means to corrupt the infrastructure of a business and money laundering. Hackers are a group of individuals who are learners and explorers, using their talents to cause damage to a society. Most of the information gathered by hackers is available to anyone with the right tools and the know-how. The majority of these conflicts surround the idea of what should be made available on the Internet and what security measures are being used by targeted organizations. The main targets of hacking are big corporations and the government, because hackers would reap the most benefits through these organizations, yet everyone who has a computer is a target to hackers. Although Napster is at risk of being shut down because of the infringement of the copyright law, founder Shawn Fanning is fighting to keep it running on the basis of his program allowing users to hear music of unknown artists. Some of these hackers use this information to create unnecessary problems for companies and government agencies. Most of these are done through virus writing that can damage both the hard drive and other programs within the computer as well. They believe in solving problems and building things, rather than taking them apart. They are driven by the idea that they can solve any problem with effort and the help of other hackers. The majority of the world believes that hackers are criminals because of the fact that they access materials and services illegally. This allows the individuals to gain access to the use of a program without actually properly paying for it. Many children are lured by the pedophiles through chatting and e-mail under different identities in order to gain the child's trust and then later use them in for the disgusting graphic material.
