What is there to do on a free week end? Go to school, go to work, do homework, go out with friends help around at home, those are only few of the things that we do on our daily lives. Our schedules are filled with things we have to do and sometimes we go about doing our duties without noticing little things that are not less important than other things. In my house I have taken a considerable amount of time to sit and observe my sister. I have found out of many things that she does that had been very unnoticeable. My sister has a patter of getting home and doing certain things but since we really do not observe one another we tend to not see a lot of things that the people that live with us do. Everyday my sister wakes up in a very bad mood early in the morning at 6:45 to get ready for school. Before she does anything else she goes to the bathroom and turns on the radio there. She takes a shower, and takes for ever to come out. By the time she comes out of the shower she is in a very good mood. In my house usually we all wake up at the same time and out of all this time that I have lived in the same house and shared so many things, I had never noticed that she would wake up in a bad mood until I observed her behav
We live our lives just missing things and not really looking around what's going on around us. As the day goes by, I noticed many other things she does that I had never noticed before. My observation is done for the day, and I sit and ponder about all the things we all do during our daily lives. I have come to the conclusion that am going to be more careful from now on and as I go on with my life, I will look for small things. I enjoyed observing someone in my family I believe I will do it with other things that go on in my life. So far, out of the day I had noticed two really big things that she would do and I had never really seen them, because I would see them everyday that I really did not notice them. I want to look at little details that we tend to not see. My sister goes to use the phone after she is done helping my mother and she spends an average of three hours and a half on the phone. At 11pm she takes a shower, checks to see if she has any e-mails and then she goes to bed. It's amazing how I had never noticed it before, so many hours on the phone and when ever I would see her using the phone I would think she had been using it for an hour or so. She eats lunch with us she talks, she jokes around and helps my mom clean the kitchen after lunch. What's there to do on a free week end? Observe one of your family members. Never had I seen that she does not talk to anyone when she wakes up until she is out of the shower, it's like as if she takes a bath of energy and comes out singing and talking to everybody.
