Comparison of the Criminal Justice System and Social Service Work The Criminal Justice System is a very complex system. There are many sectionsand agencies in this system. Each of these sections provide a variety of service. Oneservice that the Criminal Justice System provides is the rehabilitation of juveniles. Thereare many things that the Criminal Justice System does to help juveniles that are in trouble. There are similar agencies that do the same thing that the justice system does. An exampleof one of these agencies is Social Service Work. They are different agencies, but theyprovide the same service. The process of services in these agencies are done differently, Many steps are taken in the Criminal Justice System when a juvenile is arrested. First, the juvenile commits the crime and then he or she is arrested. Next, a decision hasto be made whether or not to press charges. Once charges are filed, there is a courtdecision that has to be made. The suspect (juvenile) is either arrested or released (Justice5). Regardless if the juvenile is arrested or released, he or she still has to go through somesort of rehabilitation system. Some juveniles h


Community service is when the juvenile has to work for the community or town for aperiod to time. Social Service Work is concerned with individual and personal problemsbut also broader social issues such as poverty, unemployment, and domestic violence("Social Work Profession" 1). Another service that is provided is Teen Court. Then they have to console and rehabilitate the abused orneglected child to help make them productive citizens. Social Workers are employed by the child welfareagencies to handle many situations such as: investigating cases of family violence, childabuse, and neglect. What this is saying is that nomatter how good the service is, you can not prevent people or juveniles from committingcrimes. It also rehabilitates may teenagers withserious problems. It helps make them good productive citizen. Social Worker help family services agencies, children's aid agencies, school board,correctional institutions, and many more departments. He is a police officer for my home town. All of these programs offer great service and provide justice for the world. This profession is here to help the problem. Social Work in the correctionalinstitutions provide services as members of a multidisciplinary team or on a one-to-onebasis with the client ("Social Work"2). Rehabilitation is a great service, and it is greatly looked upon.
