Civil war

Slavery, the single cause of the American Civil war is asked by few people these days, Slavery has been forgotten and many people don't even know what happened in 1861. Slavery was an influence though in the Civil war. The civil war was one of the many ways out slavery in 1861. If America were happy with the amount of states it had and where they were it would have helped prevent the war. The North and The South had different stiles, The South used slaves in their field and The North ran everything through factories, they were practically different countries.
The Civil war was influenced intensely by slaves; they joined the Union and fought against each other. Although they did participate in the fighting their major influence was the abolition, the right to free slaves, The North felt very highly of this although many people in The North did have other ideas, it was said, "abolishing it would be bad for business. For The South to loose all their slaves it would mean having to start a whole new industry that meant they didn't have to work hard labour, either way The South weren't just going to go out and work in the fields.
The states were treated differently by neighbouring countries and therefore acted differently; they had different stiles between them and were interested in producing different things. The South were quite happy to settle a fight with a gun where as The North were civilised "The stronger the middle class, the stronger the society!" (http://www.sc...
