America
Everyday Americans put their lives on the line to preserve the ideas and principles of this great nation. Many have given their lives for the principles on which our country stands. And many brave men and women have sacrificed their lives and fortune for themselves and our posterity because they held high ideals and honor of our nation that were of more importance to them then life itself. "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. America's creed says: "I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. Being an American is what you make of it.
