To find out the distribution patterns and the variation between the quadrates of the Sagebrush population (Artemisia tridentate), the quadrates was divided into six and the population was being counted in the radius of 10 meter for each quadrates. For the Dalmatian Toadflax (Linaria genistifolia) one meter radius was being used to count the population size for each quadrates.

Resources, climate condition, soil types might play a big role in this distribution pattern. It could be one plant or mistakenly counted for two plants when growing under the same root. Some area contains lots of nutrients that are needed by the species and other areas do not contain any, thus distribution pattern might differ. Aggregated distribution pattern is normally found within this species.

The graph below shows the average numbers of population of the Sagebrush and Dalmatian Toadflax. Dalmatian Toadflax also appears to have a clumped distribution (see Appendix A). This is because the Sagebrush species has branches growing from one root (trunk). Amount of water each year must be the same perhaps? And nutrient is also a big factor in the role here.
