E-Commerce

Online business has become more prosperous in today's marketplace than it has been in the past, when computers were not as popular. With special software that eliminates the jobs of customer service personnel, along with new ad campaigns and e-alliances, Internet commerce continues to thrive. Even non-profit organizations benefit from the people who manipulate the Internet as a source of income. Some websites supply services that help people sell their own items; others base their websites on both the Internet and in the real world. "Business to Business" connections are being made between corporations and are failing repeatedly and causing many e-failures.Some computer companies have eliminated the job of customer service clerks by using a sophisticated method developed by IBM. They call this system "BELL." BELL is an interactive phone/computer based answer machine. Unlike other troubleshooting phone services, BELL answers questions specifically and diligently. Using and owning this sof

Another reason web industry is on the rise is advertising. Every successful online company knows the three facets of e-business, which are: secure payments, electronic catalogs, and order processing. High-tech and low-tech companies all share the same need and desire to have software that can help users interact with the company from their own homes. Napster has become a huge success by using a keen, new method of advertising that utilizes their popularity. This movement turned out to be a huge failure and has caused tremendous layoffs within companies. Cutting down person-to-person interaction seems to be the key lately as long as customer satisfaction results are the same. For example: one partner in this alliance might use the software for his own benefit, which may bring more success to one party than the other. The only difference is that the shopper doesn't have to leave his home. Ads for other web companies can be seen on their website and the homepage of their software. Websites such as e-Bay and u-Bid provide a trading ground for any person to post his own catalogs while the company takes care of order processing and secure payments (IBM, EB49). Websites receive a certain number of hits per day, and that is their ticket to advertising money. Web companies graciously accept the opportunity to "trade banners" with other websites. Lately, many e-businesses have been failing.
