n 1989 and 1992. After Hurricane Hugo struck South Carolina, all Habitat houses in the state survive, and after Hurricane Andrew struck south Florida all 27 Habitat houses in the Miami, Florida area survive.
             There are other numerous significant milestones for Habitat in the 90s. -- Abilene, Texas becomes Habitat's 500th U.S. affiliate in 1990. Habitat's 10,000th house was constructed in 1991. Two years later, Habitat for Humanity International completed its 20,000th house worldwide during a 20-house blitz build in Americus, Georgia. The following year, 1994, the 1,000th U.S. affiliate, Nelson County HFH, in Roseland, Virginia was approved. Additionally, Habitat for Humanity International completed its 30,000th house worldwide with the 30/30,000 Blitz Build in Americus, Georgia. In 1996, Habitat for Humanity International dedicated its 50,000th house worldwide in Pensacola, Florida, during the 1996 Building on Faith week. The Habitat for Humanity International website made its debut online on May 1, 1996. Maxwell House agreed a two-year partnership with Habitat for Humanity in which the company donated $2 million in matching funds to promote the building of 100 Habitat houses in 100 weeks with 100 Habitat affiliates in the U.S. in 1998. Finally, in 1999, the house building record was broken by a construction crew in New Zealand. The Manakau HFH had appliances installed, sod laid and an inspector satisfied in three hours, 44 minutes and 59 seconds.
