President Andrew Johnson, was truly a hero. The start of the full length heroic chronology of Andrew Johnson began on December 29, 1808 on a very cold, and dark night in Raleigh, North Carolina to Mary "Polly" McDonough and Jacob Johnson. Both Parents were uneducated working folks who just managed to put food on the table. At the age of three Andrew experienced the lost of his father due to a heroic attempt which cost him his life. At the early age of 13 he sat with apprentices for hours at a time and learned the tailor's trade. While visiting his daughter Johnson fell victim to a stroke leaving his leftside entirely paralyzed. Unexpectedly, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated therefore enabling Andrew Johnson to become our nations seventeenth president. Over a period of two days eleven articles of impeachment were adopted. Briefly, Andrew began his political career when he was elected into Congress, later as governor of Tennessee, and four years later into the U. After being accused of false actions he kept himself very calm stating only the truth and never once losing his serenity. Now he had a wonderful family struggling together and a growing, respected tailor shop of his own. Now Johnson was becoming a skillful campaigner, noted for his forceful speeches and sharpful debates leading to a great accomplishment. After a long journey they settled, when soon enough Andrew could not forget a girl he had met dragging his family with him to settle in Greeneville, TN and open a tailor shop. Months later he hurried home and proposed his family to come with him. The radical Republicans then plotted against their democratic president by passing bills limiting the presidents powers. At the shop Andrew mainly heard speeches by American and British statesmen which stirred up live discussions between clients greatly expanding Andy's knowledge.
