A Career in Physical TherapyThesis: By examining issues such as: training and education; work schedule; job environment; salary; and personal fulfillment, I find myself to be highly suited to a career in physical therapy.1. The money are not the most important factor, but they are important in our lives. However, Kewin Zick says, ``after a few years in private practice one can make over $100,000 per year'' (Zick). It is also impressive to note that in 1988 The Jobs Rated Almanac had the ``top pay for physical therapists (being) $38. At private practice offices one can work significantly less. Physical therapists enjoy reciprocity between many states allowing them to choose an area in which to work. "On average hospital give two weeks of vacation time per year (Krumhansl). The healthy environment that physical therapists enjoy is something that I am really impressed with. This four years of college gives the student a Bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Private offices are usually smaller and less busy therefore more personable. The business of the work day can vary for a physical therapist as well. (Eureka) Once one has found a job, the work schedule for a physical therapist can vary from busy to relaxed. This is what I see as being someone of the greatest fulfillment a physical therapist or any professional can receive.
