Involvement From Parents
I. Problem, purpose and significance of study:Schools need better involvement from parents, dealing with their child's' educational well being. There are not enough parents involved in the educational lives of their children. A solution is needed to get more participation.Getting parents more involved can help increase student performance. Will getting parents to see their cooperation with homework is needed cause them to get more involved? I feel that the more parents see that they can help their child become successful, the more they will want to help. Academic achievement can be greatly attained by students if they have those resources and help, at their disposal, i.e. parent involvement.
For a future study I would try and get the best results to get the parents to motivate their children as they continue with their studies. Now, I plan to send the work home with a letter from the student petitioning their parents to help them with their assignment and marking down that they helped. l-whoever is responsible for that child's well-being, or guardianII. Their thoughts and ideas on what they would like to see and what they expect to see. Also, I would like to see what are parents doing to see if their children are getting the best from their school. I was very pleased with the outcome and my hope is that these parents will continue to help their child as needed. They will create letters to be read by their parents when they take their work home. The charts that I have attached are statistics dealing with parental involvement. This was a four week study, with two weeks as the control group and two weeks as the experimental group. REVIEW OF LITERATURE IS ATTACHED III. The experimental group had responses of twenty parents to their child's' request. The parents will respond to the letter and send it back with their student.
