Mr. Jackie Lynn McDonald (Mac) was born in Merkel, Texas on September 18th 1934. His memories from his early years are that his mom was soul supporter of him until he was fifteen years, farming, drinking, chasing pretty girls, and dreaming of traveling.
Mac loved working on the farms, but always dreamed of being a city boy with traveling experience. His mom was divorced and remarried. He never knew his father until he was dying and reunited with him before hand at his fathers request. Mac worked hard tending to crops and animals on the farm and says it is in his blood. He regrets not staying in Texas and taking over the farm for his mother. His mother is eighty-six and still runs three farms. He goes four times a year to visit for three weeks to help her.
He has traveled to Europe, Mexico, the Bahamas, South America, within the U.S. and to the Keys. He will always cherish traveling adventures. He devoted most of his working life to car sales. He would earn the perks which were trips to somewhere. He loved it. He started doing car sales after his first and only wife divorced him. He had affairs and so did she. He says they were both immature and weren’t ready to work at marriage. He says you marry once and that’

It unlocks the healing power within the patient at their own will, when the nurse communicates and relates to them on a level of whole self. His mother was divorced, he divorced, and his daughter refuses to accept divorce as an option. I realize that when a person tell their story it isn’t always factual, but that in itself reflects part of their psycho/social status. He then opened up and shared intimate details to many to mention. He has responded to aging with some depression. Politically , historically, president JFK was the hardest and most important day to face. He would rose color something and I had to remind him that this was confidential. The divorce changed him and he has never recovered. He used to play golf three times a week, play poker, and party. On further questioning this was contradicted and restated as I’m thankful to be alive and be with my daughter and grandchildren. He went to work, but didn’t get anything done, everybody was glued to the TV. I interviewed my father and learned a lot more about him.
His greatest accomplishment is that he set goals in his business, reached them made real good money and traveled all over. He copes at a slower pace and gets frustrated more easily, but he tries to control this. One thing his medical illnesses and drugs that he is on made him impotent and physically in daily ever worsening status.
