Deforestation
Deforestation is the clearing of tropical rain forest. Deforestation happens all around the world. Also deforestation has been going on for many centuries. The deforestation rate has been raising. and if it continues the rain forests will vanish within 100years. Deforestation occurs in many different ways. Most of the clearing is done for agricultural purposes. Farmers chop down, and burn tree trunks . The process in which the farmers do this is called slash and burn agriculture. Modern agriculture happens in a larger areas, and farmers have to deforest several squares at a time. Commercial logging is anther form of deforestation. Commercial logging is cutting trees for sale as timber or pulp. Logging occurs in certain areas. Logging occurs in places where " economically valuables species are cut or by clear cutting, where all tress are cut". Commercial logging involv
Governments have projects that benefits of deforestation and raises money. Deforestation " is driven by a complex group of factor, the solutions are equally complex". When rain comes it washes away most of the nutrients leaving no fertile soil. Deforestation is not a positive thing for the world. All of the life sustaining nutrients are found in the plants and tress as we know. These nutrients are needed for fertile soil. What happens after a forest is cut down is important to the regeneration of a forest. Deforestation also occurs to construct towns or dams which flood areas. The tropical rain forests holds over half of the species. So by both these things happening the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases and this increases the possibility of the green house effect. When the plants and trees are cut down they are burned to release the nutrients. All over the world 5 to 80 million species of plants and animals make the biodiversity of earth. es heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, road graders, and log skidders. The plants and the soil in the tropical forests have large amounts of carbon.
