A Dog of a Different Kind

             The big bad wolf in the forest and the cute cuddly puppy that a child would play with actually have a lot in common. Both dogs and wolves can be found all over the world. Domestic dogs which are dogs the people have adopted trained and have made the dog part of the family and the wolf that lurks around the woods hunting little red ridding hood and gobbling up little piggys have similar appearances, personality traits and roles in life. They also have their differences many differences in these areas.
             Depending where you are at wolves come in many shapes and sizes the same is also true with domestic dogs but most wolves have the same physical characteristics they are usually long and slender about six and a half feet in length, have longer and more pointed snouts, pointed ears and a thick coat of fur. Dogs on the other hand can range from a foot in length to a few feet. They will range from very thin to extremely bulky. Domestic dogs can have almost any appearance one might want to take home with them. Wolves usually stand about two or three feet tall and are farley strong
             normally in the range of one hundred pounds to one hundred and seventy five pounds. The closest domestic dog to the wolf family is the Alaskan
             malamute. This dog almost identically resembles a Grey wolf except for its eyes the Alaskan malamute has very blue eyes wolves do not have blue eyes.
             Domestic dogs are known as mans best friend they become part of a family they are taught the differences between right and wrong. They know how to read human emotions. Dogs learn to communicate with people in a primitive way but they also depend on their master to take care of them. In the wild wolves have created their own civilization.
