Visual Pleasure
Upon opening the eyes and scrutinising the sometimes bold, meaninless, useless, exciting, energized and subtleties around us, we find they are mere fragments of the intertwined world we live in. We can only but try to examine the fruits of our labours, trying to define the differences in texture within existence. Science labours for centuries to only understand, yet not reproduce in many circumstances. Yet we as humans take our everyday senses for granted, and we persist in a perpetual upward struggle to perfect the pleasure hidden within the unknown.We cannot proceed without the thought of pleasure in some manner or another, to stay stagnent and motionless would only provoke a life worse than death, a montage of dillusion hidden around a skin shroud. To know where we are headed, to steer towards our imaginary light, to reach out and climb that rung further on our mind ladder, these images are what probably drives us further into the almost infinate maze of pleasure.Why bold? Why exciting? The purpose of this section of the site is to detail the analysis and design steps undertaken in designing for artificial and natural lighting and how design decisions were taken in order that all systems within the building would be integrated without conflict. it's unsatisfying to see that farmers with wasted crop or bad grazing land cannot farm in a twenty first century fashion and solar their way into the rolling history credits. That is the choice of the individual. It might be interesting to see a piece of music with several voices as being a constellation of changing forms, one for each voice, that interact in some interesting way, at times merging together to produce a single effect. It is written on the assumption that all human behaviour has a purpose - although this may not immediately be obvious. With the use of several design meetings between the other members of the group a truly integrated and non-conflicting building was developed.
