Ads

What companies do to get your attention There are many ways to catch the reader's eye. Companies use everything from sex appeal to escape to catch the reader's eye. Most companies use half to a full page to advertise their product. They make the ads say this product is perfect for you, so you would go out and buy their product. Ads are everywhere not only in magazines. They are on TV, in newspapers, billboards, etc. I've chosen 3 ads out of the People magazine. These ads focus mainly on physiological needs, aggression, domination, and aesthetic sensation. People is a magazine that targets anyone who loves to gossip. Peolple is the magazine of gossip of celebrities. Most ads in the People magazine are cosmetic supplies and ads that attract women in the late 20's to about women in their mid 50's. The first ad that I seen was an ad for Pepperidge Farm Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies. This ad has a giant chocolate chip cookie in the center of the page surrounded by chunks of chocolate. Under the cookie it says, "If you're going to have a cookie, have a cookie." Further down at the bottom of the page it says "Never Have An Ordinary Day." This ad caught my eye because it had a gi

The center of this add has a black 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS, with the Tasmanian Devil from the Loony Tunes, driving. At the bottom it said, "Ask your doctor about (the name of the pill). This ad with a giant cookie on it actually made me get up and go get a cookie from my kitchen. As you can see the ad shows the 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS in front of another car. ant cookie on it and made me feel like eating a cookie. People while driving usually are in a rush and want to be in front of everyone else. This ad caught my eye because it says in big letters "I Hate My Curly Hair. The ad for Quidad appeals to aesthetic sensation. It also has another car far behind the 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS, to show that this car is fast. Everyone should know that Taz is an aggressive animal, so this ad shows that in this car you can be a very aggressive person and let out all your anger and stress while driving this car. They will advertise things that people will read or at least look at. I seen this one ad it took up the whole page.
