High Noon
High Noon High Noon(1952) is a classic western movie which unfolds in real-time. Gary Cooper plays the role as Will Kane, a retired Marshall. On Will's retirement day and wedding day he hears word of Frank Miller, a convict that Will put behind bars years prior; is on his way to seek revenge on Will. Franks's brother and two of his other outlaw buddies are already there waiting upon his arrival, which coincidently is high-noon. Will finds his so-called good friends leaving this matter in his hands alone to deal with. On his way out of the town with his new bride, Will makes an abrupt decision to go b
Apparently even the bar tender is against it because Frank and his "boys" were once his best customers. Some of the folk agree to help him, and others say that he should just wait for a new Marshall to take care of the situation. Amy is both shocked and angry and tries to convince him to put the past behind him but Will insists on this "duty". Will at one time had a mistress named Helen Ramirez, she's keeping Will's most-trusted deputy Harvey in her company. At the same instant Amy is boarding the train, then decides to turn around and get off. Searching for some support Will goes to a local tavern and asks for the help of the public only to be mocked and ridiculed. Will is already in battle with Frank and his "goons". Harvey refuses to help Will with the matter because his jealousy has the best of him. Amy tells him that it will be his death and chooses not to have any part of it and decides to buy a train ticket out of town. The only support Will finds is Baker, a "pretend" sort of "wanna-be" deputy friend of his. Will then goes to the church looking for support. High noon arrives and Frank saunters into town. And so, Will faces Frank and his four "buddies" alone. So, against her wishes he turns back to the town to face Frank. As Amy approaches, Frank shoots her to death.
