England at this timeis torn between the Catholics and Protestants. Elizabeth faces assassinationattempts at every turn, enemies who pretend to be friends,and love that she must give up in order to fulfill her dutyto her country. QueenElizabeth tries to govern England and the Protestants gaincontrol with the help of her. CateBlanchett is a talent actress and portrays Queen Elizabethvery good. This is a and violent movie, and thepolitical intrigue. I enjoyed watching itand would definitely recommend this movie to my family andfriends. Geoffrey Rush,Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Fiennes, Richard Attenboroughalso were very good actors even though they they're notfamous like Brad Pitt. This movie seemed veryrealistic and well directed. The most powerful scenes in the movie were when thethree Protestant 'heretics' were burned at the stake andwhen Queen Elizabeth becomes the Virgin Queen, married toEngland, in one of history's greatest makeovers. In fact, the ending of Elizabeth veryclosely resembles the ending of The Godfather. I know most movies like Elizabeth show all thegreat things about being a ruler.
