Boston Public is an intriguing mixture of both reality and fiction. While some occurrence are believable others are things that will likely not happen in any school. This show is among the very few that are not dominated by teen pop stars; famed for their looks not they're acting abilities. The American producers are obsessed with actors with the perfect body, face and looks. It is a way of holding the viewer's attention, but they over play that method too much and don't focus on real life issues. Most shows on television have a continuous drama one after another all having to do with sex, and boy-girl relationship. Although Boston Public has it own case of that, it does not play a significant role in the show. Even if it does have romance, it ties in with the story. It seems the domino theory can be applied to this show. One downfall leads to another and as a result a whole chain of reaction is played out in each episode. Boston Public in some sense is very similar to a soap opera. A character can be removed and as well as be placed in the story line. Lauren and another teacher growing
Lipschitz is a witness to case filed against the school by the teacher who loves to discipline students by paddling them. It is a shame that her confidence comes from other's opinions of one part of her body, her breasts. Lauren is forced to answer that question when she refuses to suspend a kid for hitting her in the eye. Among the many realistic topics view in the show, there are some details that are difficult to believe. It is hard to believe that people change so much that they do not display an ounce of modesty and they do flaunt their naked bodies to the world. She claims it is a sensitive issue, but the mother of the boy, who spitted in her face, claimed otherwise. It defies credibility that a man can be so worried about his brother personal life that he will hire a prostitute for him. The nude Olympic is one of these details. It is enlightening to see those same problem plays itself out on screen and be able to view it from the perspective of different individuals. The show is more realistic than any other is, but like any other work of fiction, it possesses problems that boggle the mind. Although her teacher, Marilyn, advises her not to get them, she realizes the reality. Can the American society be so jaded that it can not look beyond the superficial covering? Plastic surgeons thrive on the insecurities of the public. fondness for each other is underplayed by the fact that it is an instrument in which a student uses to take her revenge on the school. Even a teenager is persuaded to get breast implants to add to her physical attraction.
