             What it takes to have a Successful High School Girl's Basketball Team
             It is intense and cruel. It is vicious and competitive. It is for the love of the game. It is high school girl's basketball. Many people do not respect girl's basketball. It is a sport just like any other. There is a lot of work put forth all year long for a girl's basketball team to be successful. Friendships are strengthened and memories are created forever. The season and off-season alike are very time consuming and stressful, but it all pays off in the end when your team goes further than anyone had even anticipated. To have a victorious team it takes talent and ability, but along with that you need a good coach who pushes you to your fullest capability. Basketball is a sport that consists of hard work from you, your teammates, coaches, and your fans because without one of these people you are sure to have a hard time forming a successful season.
             There can be many benefits to playing high school basketball. Girls, for example, are more likely than boys to receive a scholarship to a college or university to play a sport because of a lack of interest. I know a lot of girls who continued their basketball careers through college. They did this not only for the scholarships, but also for the love of the sport.
             Some girls play basketball because they know that it is very competitive. Girl's basketball is very different from boy's basketball. Girls are said to be a lot more vicious than boys when it comes to this sport. A lot of boys "trash talk" or say rude thing to their opponents, whereas girls usually do not say much, they just pinch and pull the girls they are playing against. For example, I can't remember a game I played in when girls would not be pinching me, or my teammates in the locker room at half time getting band aids because they were bleeding. Girls are nasty in this sport.
