Adventures of Huck Finn
In Society, not everybody has a good heart. There are those who are heart warming and loving, and then there are those who are wretched and wicked. In the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, various significant relationships are uncovered. Many of these relationships are inflicted due to the liaison of Pap and Huckleberry Finn. Without the occurrence of this relationship, almost all the themes of this novel would be gone and the story would likely be different.Pap, the father of Huck Finn is a violent, and always an intoxicated man. All the complaining he did was in town, about the government. Furthermore, he drank alcohol while he was complaining. Pap came in at the starting of the novel surprising Huck Finn in his bedroom. He frightened Huck for a bit, until Huck got used to the sight of him. He is most seemingly wearing torn clothes that have been worn for a while. He probably looks like an alcoholic on the street, or in today's society, a bum."He was most fifty, and he looked it. His hair was long and tangled and greasy, and hung down, and you could see his eyes shining through like he was behind vines. It was all black, no gray; so was his long, mixed-up whiskers. There warn't no color in
He dislikes the fact that his son learns to read. She said she warn't ashamed of me" (Huck Finn, 16)One day, he changed into his old raggedy clothes, and felt free and satisfied. All he cared about was his alcohol. "At first I hated school, but by and by I got so I could stand it. They found lots of money and invested it. Pap wants his son to be just like him; dim-witted and illiterate. He is thirteen years old and he loves to seek an adventure. He had one ankle resting on t'other knee; the boot on that foot was busted, and two of his toes stuck through, and he worked them now and then. Once winter hit, his dad showed up and threatened him that if Huck doesn't give pap his money, he will be sorry. Then he went off on his own and old widow Douglas took him in and shaped him into a young gentlemen. Huckleberry Finn has an obsession for exploration. His hat was laying on the floor - an old black slouch with the top caved in, like a lid" (Huck Finn 20). I was getting sort of used to the widow's ways, too and they warn't so rapsy on me. I liked the old ways best, but I was getting so I liked the new ones, too, a little bit. She taught Huck how to read, dress according to style, and always to be kept clean.
