Death Penalty: Justice or Revenge?

             Many experts of criminal justice systems in a lot of countries have been striving to match the laws of punishments to the different types of crimes. While they are doing this, no doubt, equality, and justice are significant concepts. However, there is a punishment type which is still being discussed regarding whether it is just or not and if it is, under what circumstances a government have a right to conduct the punishment. This penalty is the death penalty. There are people who are against or for the death penalty. Broadly the for people support some candidates for execution, such as the crimes of rape-murder, random murder, terrorist activity, assassination and the like. In contrast, the other people think that death penalty is so severe and does not correspond to some principles. No doubt, the most important principle is the right to live. If the laws prevent this right, they cannot be called "fair laws."
             The people, who are for the punishment, evaluate the death penalty in terms of many types of crimes and first of all, the most popular one is murder. According to their opinions, murderers are psychologically sick and many of them do not know exactly why they kill a person. Also some of them may premediate the murder and there are even others who do this for just fun. If there is also additionally rape before murder, the punishment of the crime becomes much harsher. Because of the rape, the victim suffers throughout the life if she is still alive. Since murder and rape cause the death of victims and the descent of the victims' families, those for want the legislators to punish these kinds of criminal by death penalty. In other words, as they deserve.
