In the history of man, there have been many different absolute rulers who have had their own ideas of how to rule their domain. Some of these absolute rulers, who have had total control over their regions, ruled with dignity and fairness, which imposed positive effects on their countries. Others have ruled with stupidity and foolishness, which have brought adverse effects on their countries. The religious hatred was started when her father created an Anglican church which created a split in the empire and a seperation between families. Eventually, the French won and killed most of the poorly trained army, because without the support of the bishops, the queen was unable to recruit a large and well trained army. In the case of Elizabeth, she had a few different policies, but the one that was most apparent was her Act of Uniformity. Another reason for this proposed act was to unite her kingdom and hopefully get the support of the bishops which she did not have at the time. Elizabeth’s advisers told her to send in everyone and anyone, including children to try and fend of the opposing French. Her ideas and thinking were ones of only a true leader, one who led with dignity and fairness. An example of this needed support of the bishops was when France, under the power of Queen Mary, threatened to take England along with its inexperienced monarch. was a naive ruler with not much of an idea of what to do. Absolute rulers have policies, some domestic, some foreign, where they exercise their power to try and do something positive for their country. When she decided to have the Act of Uniformity voted on by both sides of her religious community, she showed how she had a desire to be fair to all of her people and to make important decisions that would effect England for many years to come. In the end, Queen Elizabeth turned out to be a pretty influential ruler and led England through some tough times. This domestic act unified her people in that they were to all use common prayer books so as to eliminate religious hatred.
