Stereotyping

Stereotyping is the creation of an over simplified, false or generalized portrait of a group of people. Stereotyping does not allow for individuals to be different, but names them all as one group. For example: Chinese people are bad drivers, rich people are snobby, men are insensitive, and women are emotional. Stereotyping is an inaccurate judgment of a persons ability, personality and skills. This judgment is made from racial, physical or cultural traits. A person should be judged as an individual, regardless of race, religion, gender, or age.
