Gospel of Luke

At the begining of the book i got the impression that the writer had to of had some very good
sources because of the fact he is one of the two gospel writers who had the infancy narritives in their
gospel, which is interesting because the childhood of Jesus was very personal and very unpublic so
this author had to dig deep to find the facts he did.
I find it very interesting in chapter 2 when Simeon was telling what would become of Jesus'
life that Mary and Joseph were suprised at what was said about him(2:33) it just seems odd that
they would be suprised because Mary at least knew that Jesus was special since he was immacualty

Jesus was truly God and truly man how his human nature allowed him to be tempted and how he
was able to overcome it for the purpose of his life and as God he is sinless. If Jesus was tempted
and overcame and we are supposed to pattern our lives after him we should and can resist all
temptation although no one can resist all temptation we all sin priests, nuns, and lay people alike we
all sin. Jesus was the only human (next to Mary) who was able to overcome all temptation. It is just
in our nature and we are more prone to temptation because of origional sin Mary and Jesus had no
