A Cure for the Insecure

             Is religion here only for the insecure? People find it easy to become frightened or worried over things they have no control of. Feeling this, they may turn to a life which they feel will lead them to perfect harmony. When feeling self-doubt, religion can be used as a reliable source which provides a moral answer when people are in need for them. In many ways, society today leads a religious life to help fight the fear of death, to use it as a guidance tool in everyday life, or simply just use it as an aid when raising children.
             Ever since the beginning of man, the majority of humans have had a fear over the one thing they will never have control of, the nature of death, and they feel the need to use religion as a security blanket to prevent this discomfort. In my experiences, I found that people have often asked me, "Don't you want to look forward to something extraordinary after you die"? This shows me when people are using religion as a reassurance tool, they find it much easier to simply depend on their psychological comfort blanket and be less terrified of the thought of death. Religion provides what no other comforting aid has ever done before; the security of mortality. Some individuals who can't handle the fierce reality of death sometimes need to use a psychological relief system; this is where religion comes in to play. It can't prevent the nature of mortality itself, but it can provide the reassurance that there is something much more extraordinary after life itself.
             Death is not the only insecurity and reason some people lead themselves to a religious life. When faced with "what's right and what's wrong" situations, answers for the correct guidance can be questioned by many.
